Registering with an Organisation

Why should I register with an organisation?

Organisations can publish pages to their site that can only be viewed by people who are registered with them.  Some organisations use this to distribute material only for their members, others will allow anyone with an interest in the organisation's activities to register.

What happens after I register?

The organisation will be contacted with your request and asked to approve it.  You will be informed by email once a decision has been made.

If you feel an organisation is taking too long to consider your registration, please contact Window on Woking support, and we'll look into the situation for you.

Can I register with more than one organisation?

Yes — in fact we encourage it.  You'll only ever need one login to Window on Woking, which you can use to view the full content of any organisation you've registered with.

Once you've registered for the first time, and you have your Window on Woking login, registering with further organisations won't require you to re-enter your details.

Do I have to choose an organisation to register?

No.  You can register with Window on Woking to set up your login, and then use this to register with as many organisations as you choose.

What happens if my registration is not accepted?

Some organisations may decide to limit registrations to paid members.  Your Window on Woking login will continue to work, and you can use it to register with as many other organisations as you choose.

If you feel that an organisation has rejected your registration unfairly, please contact Window on Woking support and we'll do our best to investigate.

Once I've registered, how do I change my details?

Log into Window on Woking, and click the Manage My Account link in the top-right-hand corner of the screen.  This will take you to a screen with links to amend your personal details, change your password, and view the status of the registrations you've made.

How can I add pages to my organisation's site?

Once your registration with an organisation has been accepted, you can apply to become a publisher for that organisation.  To do this, log into Window on Woking and click the Manage My Account link in the top-right-hand corner of the screen.  From here, you can apply to become a publisher with any of the organisations with which you've registered.

Can I be a publisher for more than one organisation?

Yes.  When you log in to the Administration Shell, you'll be asked to choose which organisation you want to be working with in that session.  You can log out and switch organisations whenever you wish.
