Log Analysis gives you information on how many people are visiting your website and when. A summary of your web site's usage over a period of time you specify is displayed in both graphical and tabular formats. From here you can see how many people vsisted your website and how many times a web page was viewed.
Log into the administration area for your web site. Click on Log Analyses for my pages in the My options section of the main menu page.
Select the dates between which you want to view the web site information and then click Send.
When you run log analysis on your web site you will see a basic report on how many people visited your web pages and how many of these were unique visitors. 
You can also view the information in a graphical format for each day, or showing the visitors for each hour of the day.
Every computer connected to the internet has a unique address. This is known as an IP address. Using this IP address we can establish how many web page requests from unique computers your website received. This will give you a better idea on how many people are actually visiting your website.
The graphs are produced and displayed using SVG (Scaleable Vector Graphics) files. Whilst some internet browsers (such as Firefox 1.5) can read SVG files, if you are using Internet Explorer you will require an SVG viewer. This is available to download free of charge from Adobe.
You can run analysis on your web site pages for any period of time since your website was created.
There is a lot of data to process so selecting a time period longer than one month will take longer for the system to calculate.
The total number of times requests have been received by visitors to access a web page from your web site during the period you are interested in.
The number of unique pages from your web site that were requested by visitors during the period you are interested in.
