Directions to Woking Borough Council

 

Please find below directions to the Civic Offices, Woking Borough Council.  A map of the town is available here and a map showing the main road and rail routes is available here.

From the M3

  1. Leave the M3 at Junction 3 and join the A322 to Guildford.

  2. Follow the A322 for approx 4 miles, going straight over two roundabouts, until you reach a set of traffic lights.

  3. Turn left here, signposted Knaphill, and follow the road through Knaphill High Street and down Anchor Hill.

  4. At the bottom of the hill, turn right at the roundabout to join the A324, Lockfield Drive.

  5. Continue straight over two roundabouts and stay in the left-hand lane as you approach the junction with traffic lights (with the Peacocks Centre now opposite you).

  6. Turn left onto the A320, Victoria Way, and pass the Civic offices on your right.

  7. Turn left at the next set of lights, just after The Lightbox, and left again at the roundabout to join Brewery Road.

  8. The nearest car park is a short distance along this road, on the left.

  9. Exit on foot over the canal footbridge. Use the pedestrian crossing to reach the Civic Offices opposite and to your left.

From the M25

  1. Leave the M25 at Junction 11, Chertsey, and immediately join the A320 to Woking.

  2. Follow signs for Woking, which will take you over two small roundabouts and one large roundabout (The Six Crossroads) at which you take the third exit, marked Town Centre.

  3. At the next roundabout, take the last exit to remain on the A320, which becomes a dual carriageway.

  4. At the first set of traffic lights, turn right and then immediately left at the roundabout.

  5. The nearest car park is a short distance along this road, on the left.

  6. Exit on foot over the canal footbridge. Use the pedestrian crossing to reach the Civic Offices opposite you.

From the A3

  1. South-bound: leave at the Ripley turn-off. North-bound: leave at the Send turn-off.
  2. Continue to the roundabout (at Burnt Common) and join the A247, signposted to Old Woking.
  3. Go straight through the traffic lights at Send and continue for a further mile to the mini-roundabout at a T-junction.
  4. Turn left in to Old Woking High Street.
  5. Turn right at the mini-roundabout and pass Woking Leisure Centre on your right.
  6. At the next roundabout, turn right onto the A320 Guildford Road.
  7. At the top of the hill, pass under the railway bridge to join Victoria Way in front of you.
  8. Continue on this road through three sets of traffic lights, and pass the Civic offices on your right.
  9. Turn left at the next set of lights, just after The Lightbox, and left again at the roundabout to join Brewery Road.
  10. The nearest car park is a short distance along this road, on the left.
  11. Exit on foot over the canal footbridge. Use the pedestrian crossing to reach the Civic Offices opposite and to your left.

From Woking Railway Station

  1. Exit the station from platform one.
  2. With the station behind you, bear left under the canopy to join Church Path.
  3. At the junction in the paths, go straight across Commercial Way (running left to right in front of you) and continue down Mercia Walk, under its glass roof.
  4. Cross Town Square, passing the war memorial on your left, and continue in the same direction alongside Woking Library.
  5. The Civic Offices are at the end of the path, in Gloucester Square, to your right.
