More about volunteering

Volunteering is simple.

It's about giving your time to do something useful, to help others and to contribute something.  And just because volunteering is unpaid its does not mean that volunteering is not highly rewarding. Whether you want to improve your CV with new skills, meet new people or just feel good about yourself, volunteering is highly rewarding.  In return for your time, you can get the satisfaction of effort well spent, gain useful experience, improve your health, widen your circle of friends and hopefully have lots of fun!

Window on Woking can hook you up with a volunteer opportunity that could change your life for the better.

Volunteers can do almost anything! From helping an elderly neighbour with their shopping, to providing legal advice for a local charity, volunteers make a vital contribution to all aspects of community life.  You can even participate as a volunteers without leaving home.  There are no age-limits on volunteering, although there may be restrictions for people under 16.  See what's available locally here.
