Woking Youth Council

History of the Council

The History of the Youth council

Woking Youth Council was founded near the start of 2002 and started with around 11 members. Since then, most of them have either become too old for the Youth Council (the age range being 11-18), have moved away, become over come with school work or simply lost interest in what it has to offer. However, during these 4 years, the places of these Youth Councillors have been re-filled and the Council now has around 10 members. The Youth Council has since run two music events, several training days and retreats, a fun fair, days out and organised a graffiti-project in West Byfleet. However, none of these activities could've been possible without the hard work and support of the dedicated officers and councillors who help the Youth Council in making these events happen. Without their support the Youth Council would not be where it is today. The Youth Council is always looking for new members and if you are interested in joining, simply come along to one of our meetings.
