Additional news for 50+ members

Annual General Meeting.  Monday 27th April 2009. Rodney Griffiths elected as Club Chairman. Mike and Tricia Nigh re-elected as Treasurer and Secretary.  Also re-elected Alan Gibbs, Assistant Treasurer, Jane Gibbs, Social Events Co-ordinator, Jennie Glaister, Walks Co-ordinator and Stan Craven.  For a copy of the Minutes see pdf file here.

Members polo shirts and T shirts are available to purchase from any member of the committee. We have old stock of either white or green in a polyester/cotton mix at a cost of £9 and £5 respectively. There is no differentiation between men and ladies sizes.  However, we have also just taken delivery of white 100% cotton polo shirts at a cost to all members of £9.50 - these are available in ladies or mens sizes. Blue polyester/cotton polo shirts are available to borrow for Club competitions with other 50+ clubs, e.g., REACT games.

Equipment. Leisure Centre management and Club committee members have worked together to improve availability of equipment for members use when they attend 50+ sessions. In particular, the Leisure Centre have purchased new smaller size bowls for our use and these are able to be borrowed by applying to a committee member. The Club have also purchased racquets for short tennis which, as well as some being in the Club storage cage, are able to be purchased at a discounted cost of £8.
