On 19th February 2009 the Cycle Woking Board meeting agreed to go ahead with planning the first Cycle Station on Lakeview Estate in Woking. It was decided to trial the project at Lakeview first and if successful to proceed with plans for a second station on Sheerwater in Woking.

Meanwhile on Lakeview we have continued collecting abandoned parts of bikes to recycle into workable cycles. We are happy to announce the launch of our very first bike built entirely from abandoned parts.  Only one gear but Woking has few hills! It rides well and just needs a new gear cable. Thanks to Steve Charles for his help with fitting it all together!
