SURREY ARTS Arts assistant: to support the successful Surrey Artists' Open Studios, an annual event that sees over 300 artists opening up their doors to the public every June. This opportunity is for 2 days per week for 2 months. Duties would include basic admin, liaising with artists, publicity and assisting at private views. Training and guidance will be given where necessary. The volunteer will be managed by the Surrey Artists Open Studios Co-ordinator with support from the Arts Administrator. It is based at the vibrant Surrey Arts headquarters in Woking with opportunity to travel to studios and events around the County. Expenses paid. | |
EPWORTH CHOIRStage Hands; A team of fit and healthy people are needed to put together and dismantle staging before and immediately after concerts, which are often held in The New Victoria Theatre in Woking or at Guildford Cathedral (also at other venues). This is currently carried out by singing members, which is not easily managed - the concerts themselves are very demanding! There are often duties backstage during the performances, which need to be covered. This is an ideal position for anyone interested in backstage theatre and at the same time offers an opportunity to help to raise money for charities, which is one of our main aims |
THE PROSTATE CANCER CHARITYCharity volunteers needed at this year's Tour of Britain Tour Series. The city centre professional cycling event will take place on Tuesday 2nd June. This fun packed evening of cycling is supporting The Prostate Cancer Charity.We require our volunteers to help collect donations from the crowd during the event. We will provide each volunteer with a t-shirt, flags and balloons and their role will be to circulate handing out the flags / balloons and collecting donations in return, in a tin or bucket provided.We require up to 20 well presented, friendly and outgoing individuals (no experience necessary) to represent the Charity at the event. You will be managed by a volunteer co-ordinator on the day who will run through your role with you and provide you with your materials.
