Women’s Support Group VolunteerThis is an opportunity to volunteer your skills within a women’s support group setting. The support group runs at Woking Children’s Centre on the first Wednesday of every month between 1 and 3pm. Anyone who is willing to demonstrate a particular skill and share their talent with others is welcome to contact me to discuss further. If volunteers could only spare 1 hour on the Wednesday afternoon that could be arranged. |

| ADULT AND COMMUNITY LEARNING – SUPPORTED LEARNING
Provides a positive, enjoyable learning experience for all learners and helps them obtain the knowledge and experience they need to get the most out of everyday life. The Supported Learning Team welcomes learners with additional needs and disabilities Supported Learning Volunteer are needed to assist the tutor in the teaching of an adult learning course providing an effective programme of further education for adults who need additional support. Volunteers may work with individuals or groups of people. Volunteers directly help the learner to understand the content of the lesson in a supportive way, which allows the learner to gain maximum learning possible from each lesson.Volunteers will work under the guidance of the tutors. There is no specific training as a requirement of this role. Training is offered throughout the year on an individual basis.

The work of Age Concern Surrey could not happen without the group of dedicated volunteers of all ages who provide care and opportunities for older people who are involved in every aspect of Age Concern's work. Information and Support Officer needed to assist in the providing high quality information on all issues involving older people. A good telephone manner and you will need empathy with older people is essential.You will need to be patient and comfortable with older people, ability to relate to others, common sense, basic computer skills, flexible, and sense of humour. |
