Achor Pregnancy Counselling Centre

Achor seeks to offer a caring, compassionate, non-judgemental counselling service, without pressure or bias, to all women in a "pregnancy crisis", that will enable them to make an informed choice concerning their pregnancy and to support and counsel women suffering from emotional trauma or other difficulties following abortions or miscarriage. .

Action for Carers (Surrey)

Action for Carers (Surrey) aims to:

- Foster and promote the individuality, personal esteem and self worth of carers.
- Highlight the value of carers' contribution to our society.
- Act as a two-way channel of "best practice" both in caring and in caring advice and information.

Action for Carers and Employment

ACE Surrey offers free impartial information, advice and guidance to carers or former carers who are considering a return to learning or work.  We provide support in identifying skills and interests, planning career choices and exploring training and/or employment options.  This service is offered one to one or via ACE Courses.

We work with employers to raise awareness of carers needs and to encourage them to adopt carer friendly working practices.

Advocacy in Action

We aim to provide independent advocacy to vulnerable adults in Surrey, and also financial administration services through Enduring Power of Attorney or Court of Protection orders.

Age Concern Surrey

To promote the well being of older people in Surrey and to help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Advice, advocacy, counseling, healthy living and technology. Help people remain in own homes through home helps and personal care.

Age Concern Woking

Mission is to promote the well-being of older people in the Woking area and to help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.  Specifically developing a befriending scheme and an information and advice signposting service.

Alzheimer's  Society (Woking Branch)

Provide General information on Alzheimers Disease and other dementia and on the services, benefits, practical aids and other resources available for carers and people with dementia from health and social services and other voluntary organisations.  Provide opportunities for social contact and mutual support through our day care service, carers group and outreach work.  Actively work in the community to increase public awareness.

Arthritis Care (Woking Branch)

To give support to and  work with all people with arthritis.  To promote their heatlh, well being and independence through services, support, self help, information and influence.

Bernard Sunley Nursing Home

Friends of the Elderly have been helping older people since 1905.  Our vision is that all older people should retain their independence, dignity and peace of mind.  We offer high quality residential and nursing care in 17 care homes, some with dementia units.  We support older people to stay living in their own homes with a range of community services including welfare grants for those in financial need, day care, home support, home visiting and telephone befriending.

British Heart Foundation

The aim of the BHF is to play a leading role in the fight against heart disease so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death.
The BHF is the nation's heart charity.  No other heart charity does more in terms of research, education, information and patient care.

Brookwood Autumn Club

Meet on 1st Friday of each month, 2.30pm at St. Saviours Church Hall, Brookwood. Provide entertainment, afternoon tea and outings. Would welcome new members.

Byfleet Care

Neighbourhood care scheme that operates only in Byfleet and West Byfleet to help the elderly, disabled, housebound and their carers with shopping, visiting, essential transport and odd jobs. The helpline, a mobile phone, is open Mondays to Fridays, 10.00am to 12 noon and is manned by volunteer duty officers who wouldn't need to drive and may be housebound themselves.
