Woking Association of Voluntary Service

WAVS CRB Service

Welcome to the Woking Association of Voluntary Service Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure Service.

WAVS is an Umbrella Body, which means we are registered with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to apply for Disclosures on behalf of other organisations.

The CRB is an executive agency of the Government. It issues Disclosures which reveal information about an individual's police record. The purpose of this is to ensure that vulnerable adults and children can be protected from staff and volunteers who may pose a risk or may be forbidden from working with children.

It is up to your organisation to decide whether you will apply for Disclosures and WAVS is happy to advise. However, if your staff or volunteers are in contact with children or vulnerable people in the course of their paid or voluntary work with you, WAVS strongly recommends that you apply for Disclosures for them.

Charges

The tables below shows the charge made by the CRB and WAVS. You will be invoiced by WAVS for the total amount after the interview with the applicant has taken place. WAVS will then pass the appropriate payment on to the CRB. You will not receive any invoices from the CRB.
