Meet the Staff

The Maybury Centre Staff

We are the staff of the Maybury Centre and this is a brief description of our roles and responsibilities.

Justine Wyatt ~ Centre Manager

I manage the Centre and the Staff, provide assistance to Community Groups and work with them to develop the Centre further.  I ensure that all sectors of the Community has access to make use of the Centre's facilities.  I also oversee all the bookings and budgets and ensure all funding applications are submitted and monitoring up to date.  I also daily Line Manager the Liaise Support Worker and Schoolhouse Tea Rooms Co-coordinator and I am fully responsible for the Alpha Road Community Hall.  I have been employed by the Maybury Centre since August 1997 and Manager since May 2001.

Brian Rich ~ Centre Supervisor

I am responsible for all the general maintenance of the Centre.  I also provide a portage and handy-person service.  Every day I set up and take down the relevant rooms that have been hired, and I am also responsible for the ordering of our equipment required. I have been at the Centre since January 1994, one of the first members of staff.

Joy Wheeler ~ Manager's Assistant

My main daily duties are office based where I am responsible for taking the bookings and organising the relevant paperwork.  I ensure payment is collected and work with the Centre Manager on Credit Control.  When necessary I will set up rooms for customers and organise there catering requirements.  I actively encourage the use of the Centre by all sectors of the Community.  I have worked here since February 2003

Ian Courtney ~ Weekend Centre Assistant

My duties are to provide coverage of the Centre at weekend and extra duties as required.  I set up the rooms that have been hired, provide general portage duties and ensure the Centre is clean and tidy.  I welcome visitors/users into the Centre and ensure they are fully-assisted.  Im new to the team so please pop in and introduce yourselves!

Peter Corps ~ Centre Assistant

My main role is to work with the Centre Supervisor and assist with the Coverage of the Centre.  I also set up and take down the rooms that have been hired and provide portage and handy-person services.  I also assist with all the general maintenance.  I have been working here since April 2005.
