Meet the Chairman, Trustees and Staff Lunch

On Wednesday 19th March 2008, 12.00 noon, please join us for a Users Lunch to meet with the Trustees and Staff of the Maybury Centre.

Trustees Required

The Maybury Centre Trust has one vacancy for a Trustee, due to the  retirement of one of our members. The work of a Trustee is varied but essentially each Trustee will participate fully in the committee work and bring their own expertise to the role.

It is the role of the Trustees to have responsibility for the monitoring and development of the staff, usage and the building.  They have to ensure that the financial investment by Woking Borough Council is used effectively and take such measures to support the venture.

All members of the local community may like to consider this voluntary but exciting and interesting role.

Annual Quiz Night

Our next Quiz Night will be held on the 10th May 2008, 7.00pm.  Teams of 6-8 people are needed, the cost is £8.50 per head, inclusive of a two course meal.  All money raised is put towards improving the Maybury Centre.

Loop System Installed

We recently submitted a funding bid to both Awards for All and Woking Borough Council to allow us to install a Loop System throughout the whole Centre.

Both bids were successful and the equipment was installed over the summer holidays.  The Maybury Centre is now one of only a few Centre in Surrey to have a Loop system in every room.

If you wish to use the facility whilst you are here at the Centre, please can you inform a member of staff in advance so the equipment can all be set up ready for you on arrival.
