Surrey North Area Cruse Bereavement Care

Our Aims

Surrey North Area Cruse Bereavement Care exists to promote the well being of all bereaved people, and to enable anyone bereaved to understand their grief and cope with their loss, regardless of age, race, religion, disability, gender or sexual preference

Cruse offers personal and confidential help to bereaved people by providing help and support in the following ways:

  1. 1-1 Bereavement support. Our trained volunteers visit the bereaved person in their own home. This provides the individual with the opportunity to talk through their feelings in confidence. One visit, or a number of sessions are provided, depending on the needs of the person
  2. Group Support Sessions. Some people prefer to meet and talk about their loss in a group setting. We organise regular Group Sessions (maximum of 8 weeks) throughout the year in a convenient venue, supported by trained volunteers. Individuals may go on to receive 1-1 counselling if they need more help
  3. Support to Children. Supporting children through the loss of a close relative is a specialist service. We are able to provide this; however we only have a limited number of volunteers who have been specially trained for this purpose

If you need help, or just want to talk through how you are feeling with a trained volunteer, ring us and leave a contact number:
