Summer Festival 2009

Organised by Sheerwater community groups and residents to give a great day out for all the family.

Profits go to literacy - specifically to Let´s Read Ltd, a charity supplying extra tuition and books to schools within the Woking area.

This year they have another BUMPER PROGRAMME, featuring:

Bhangra Drums Song and Dance, Sea Cadets and Marine Cadets Display, Jazz Group, Karen Clarke Theatre Company, Falconry Display, Chinese Association Dancers, Allegro Dancers AND the nine-team Woking Tug-o-War heats and finale. All between 1.00 pm and 5.00pm.

A HUGE climbing wall (FREE) will be contributed by Zee Virani of the Sheerwater Youth Centre.

You can enter your scarecrow in the Scarecrow Competition and your beautiful baby in the (you guessed it) Beautiful Baby Competition. Ring Margot on 07840 373870 for entry forms for both.

Halal and non-halal Barbeque and Vegetarian Asian food. Beer tent. Stalls.

Grand Fireworks Finale - Saturday 10pm

Jimmy Beach´s Funfair - Thursday 16, Friday 17th 6.00 - 10.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 12.00 - 10.30pm.
