Please join us for our annual panto this year it is The Magic Shoes by Jack Burgess. Our award winning cast are performing on 7th, 8th and 14th and 15th December at the Lancaster Hall, Send. (Saturdays include a matinee).
A shoemaker comes to the village of Much Tapping on the Toe selling magic dancing shoes which make you want to dance and dance and dance. King Bumbell is sent to saly a dragon by his evil brother Count Scrofula (played by Peter Heath, joint winner of the Best Actor award at this year's Woking Drama Festival). In his absence the Count, his equally evil wife Countess Scrofula and their snivelling sidekick Dunfer Malpractice ban everything which makes the villagers happy, including dancing. Enter the Much Tapping on the Toe Dance Liberation Front who meet in secret to carry on dancing. With a pretty, lisping Princess Inflagrante, the handsome Prince Lustin the Likely (he of the magic thighs), the Widow Twinkle oh yes and Phineas Frog who turns into a posh Princess Fenella, this colourful cast promises to deliver a fun traditional panto with plenty of dancing and is directed by Rosalie Bennett.
