Groups we work with

We have formal relationships with several groups and are developing working relationships with more groups along the way.

LA21 Partners and Associates

  • Woking Cycle Users Group Promote opportunities for cycling locally, and campaign for improved facilities for cyclists in the Borough. See www.wokingcycle.org.uk.

  • Woking Fairtrade Action Network. Woking achieved fair trade town status in Oct 2005 and continues to promote wider use of fair trade products See WFAN web site.

  • Surrey Wildlife Trust are Woking LA21's main partner in the Gardening For Life Initiative, and undertake a range of work to benefit wildlife in the County. See http://www.surreywildlifetrust.co.uk/

  • Natural England has set up the Forum for Gardening with Wildlife in Mind of which LA21 is a member and has signed its 'Let Our Gardens Live' manifesto. For wildlife gardening information see

  • Woking Freecycle now have nearly 3000 members after their first full year of operation. They do a stirling job of keeping waste out of landfill for a longer period of time, and saving landfill costs to boot. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WokingFreecycle/
