"Hands On"

The hands on project aims to offer short education and training courses to people (aged 16 - 19) who are not in work or training. Working with our partners in Woking Borough Council, Connexions and the Employment Service we have been able to offer new training opportunities to help residents discover for themselves what it is they would like to do Next!

"Hands On"  IT Courses

• IT Course  -  The New IT Course for beginners and people continuing from the last course started in January 2007 at the Lakeview Social Center 7 -9pm. Ring 01483 740129 to book a place or come and speak to our friendly local tutor.
• Internet Cafe - following our purchase of new laptop computers and a wireless internet network we are able to offer an internet service for monday nights 6.45 - 9pm. Come along and learn about the internet, email in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our tutors and volunteers are on had to help.
• Job search and CV writing / presentation skills 

So whats next?

In the new year we hope to continue with our present courses and expand to cover different interest to reflect the ideas and initiative of Lakeview residents.
