LCAG is a small successful community led organisation tackling the issues facing people living in pockets of disadvantage in affluent areas and is looking to both consolidate and expand its activities. Set up in 1998 by residents in order to address the multiple needs evident on Lakeview, a small mixed tenure housing estate of some 750 homes & 1500+ people located in Woking, Surrey in the Southeast of England.

Why Lakeview? 2004 indices of depravation showed Lakeview to be an area of multiple depravation

2nd most disadvantaged area in Woking and 7th in Surrey and ranks in the bottom 10% nationally (national statistics)
