  • 23 June free public event, which will combine a talk by a leading public figure with our AGM, on at 7.30 pm at the HG Wells centre.

Tim Jackson, a commissioner with the Sustainable Development Commission will be speaking on ‘Prosperity without Growth, is it time to rethink economic growth?’

Is more economic growth the solution? Will it deliver prosperity and well-being for a global population projected to reach nine billion?

Tim Jackson – a top sustainability adviser to the UK government – made a compelling case against continued economic growth in developed nations in his explosive and highly acclaimed book, Prosperity without Growth.

He provides a credible vision of how human society can flourish – within the ecological limits of a finite planet. Fulfilling this vision is simply the most urgent task of our times.

Come and find out more about this new vision for Western society to transition to a sustainable economy from the author himself. We will also be providing a short update on our latest project activities.
