Weight Watchers prepared for Christmas.

Marie from Weight Watchers sent this article in to us!....

After the great article you did for us in the Goldsworth News over Easter I thought I'd let you know what's been happening in our Weight Watchers meetings recently to get ready for Christmas.

As we all know the build up to Christmas can be very difficult for people trying to lose weight with all the temptation of extra food and treats in the shops and all the parties to attend. So I thought I'd give my members a little incentive to stay on track with our Christmas challenge to be 10lbs lighter in 10 weeks in time for the party season. The members enjoyed taking part in the challenge and were very pleased with the results. There was also some great prizes on offer for those who were 10lbs lighter by the end of the challenge.

We also made up a special Christmas hamper with lots of low points value treats that members have been bringing in the meetings.

We now have 2 meetings held at Beaufort Primary School on Kirkland Avenue each week; on Mondays at 6.30pm and on Tuesdays at 7.00pm both with me. I've lost 6 stones with Weight Watchers 3 years ago and went from a size 24 to a size 10 so I know how successful the Weight Watchers Discover Plan is!

Between the 2 meetings we have lost a total of 72 stones 3lbs during our Christmas challenge and an amazing total of 289 stones and 6lbs since the beginning of January!

I'd be very grateful if you could do a little something in the Goldsworth news with this as my members have done so well and I know that they would be thrilled. I have attached a picture of myself (I'm the one with the blue and black stripy jumper) with some of my members with our Christmas Challenge prizes and our "special" Christmas hamper.
