Have you wondered how the lake was formed?
Have you seen a lot of roadsigns for either Parley or Perley?

Well they all point to our lost brook which now runs underground and into the lake and then underground again to come up at eventually the other side of Littlewick Road at Parley Bridge (near the Farm).
It then continues on its way to Weybridge where it joins the River Thames!
When the Church of England Parish of Goldsworth Park was created in 1981 it used the river course for part of the boundary.

Here it is on a map from 1979 still above ground..

on the map below we see what happened since ..

Remained the same (blue spots).
Now underground (green spots).
Parley Drive (brown spots) was there already.
Perleybrooke Lane (red spots) was named in 1993.

Photo of the Lake

Here we have a Aerial Photograph of the area and we have added a second copy with where the tree line gives some clues as to where it may have run?
THIS IS ONLY A GUESS!
Do you know more or have you got old photos or a detailed map, please email us if you do!
