Names of Wokings War Dead who are missing from the Memorials

You have been emailing us names that are missing from one or more than one memorial. Most are from World War Two.

The book is in Woking Library.

Here are the names sent to us so far. We have not had a chance to check the research yet.

Feel free to email any names you know of that are missing from any of our local memorials in Surrey.

Dear researcher, You maybe interested or have got this information. My relative Robert John Dance born 1912 died in 1941, son of Robert John and Caroline Dance of 30 Sussex Road Woking. His widow's name was Rosie who later lived in Chobham Road.

I have just read your very interesting article in the Woking News and Mail and am wondering if you can give me some advice.
My great uncle Joseph Thomas Maycock was in the Royal Engineers and was killed along with all his colleagues in 1940 whilst trying to defuze a UXB in Romford. His commanding officer acting Captain Michael Blaney was awarded the GC for this operation. My Great Uncle lived in Horsell and although he has a grave at  Brookwood
Military Cemetry is not named on Horsells War Memorial. Is it possible that you could advise me how I go about putting this
right.
