Thnks to a local Goldsworth Park resident we have been allowed to take a photo of their medal. It is the size of a small dinner plate and is heavy. It is inscribed with

HE DIED FOR FREEDOM AND HONOVR

ALFRED WYE

This was the popular style at the time of writing v instead of u.

Honovr = Honour

There is an Alfred Wye named on the Goldsworth Nursery Memorial, but this medal is either his or his fathers (also called Alfred). They were from a family of lock-keepers and we are hoping to find out more information on them.
