The name Goldsworth is first recorded.
Derived possibly from 'la Goldhord' that may record a find of gold coins.
Goldsworth then was a few houses in the area where Goldsworth Road is now, but also gave it's name to the tithing (ten things) of Goldsworth (sometimes called Goldings) which covers most of the north-west of Woking Parish.
The ancient Saxon and Danish divisions of the land were (from the smallest in size):
Tithing (ten things).
Townships or Parishes.
Hundreds.
Counties or Shires.
LOCAL BOUNDARY MAP SINCE ABOUT 1229

Most tithings, manors and sub-manors have been left out to make it clearer. Also only the parishes that are in or partly in the current Woking Borough Council area are shown.
