Because of the festivities I had not been watching the news and was shocked to learn today of Benazir Bhutto's assassination. It was brave of her to return from exile, knowing as she must have, the very real risk to her safety.

I'm sure many of the Pakistani community in Woking will be mourning her at this time and worrying about the violence and instability evident in Pakistan right now.
