Councillor Richard Sanderson

From May 2006, there has been just one overview and scrutiny committee instead of three. The new arrangments were introduced after a report from a task group which was asked to look into the Council's overview and scrutiny arrangments. The task group did a lot of research into how other councils carried out this important function and recommended that there be one committee instead of three. The new committee has a number of taskgroups which carry out work on its behalf and report to the main committee.
