Councillor Melanie Whitehand

I came to live in Woking ten years ago from spending the previous five years in Germany. My husband had been employed by Dupont to manage their data centre for Europe.

I have two grown up daughters who now are making their own way in the world!

I was elected in May 2007 and have found most of the challenges of being a Councillor quite a steep learning curve.

I have previously worked in the Health industry, both in the public and private sector, but now commit my self fully to being a Councillor.
