Councillor Derek McCrum

A big thank you to the 690 residents who voted to re-elect me as their representative on the Council. that was 190 more votes than my nearest rival.

I thought that after a tough election I might find life a little less hectic. Silly me, I should have known better. I am back on the Planning Committee and The LA 21 Liaison Committee as well as Governor of Woking College for a further 4 years, with responsibility for Health and safety. I am also a member of both the Climate Change and Local Development Framework Members Working Groups as well as the Surrey County Council (Highways) Local Committee.

Please be assured that i will continue to represent you with the same passion as before, but do remember that I cannot effectively second guess what residents want if you do not tell me. I have especially tried to warn residents of planning applications which may affect them.
