Since being elected I have tried to get some facilities on Barnsbury for the children as there are no play areas and any green space has the sign "NO BALL GAMES". I have promoted the idea of moving the very young fenced play area on Bonsey Lane Rec. to the grassed area either infront of the Ash Rd. or Laburnham Rd. flats and replacing it with a Multi Use Games Area for older children with a hard surface suitable for kick about. I have had the adult sized goal posts installed and a larg pitch marked out with shorter grass.

Now I am supporting an initiative being developed by Barnsbury Mums to open the "Community Shop" on Ash Rd. in the evening for children and young people. I am trying to liaise with Woking Borough Council Officers and the Police to arrange proper insurance  and protection needed to run such an important venture.
