As the 22 new houses on Newlands Avenue will be cmpleted in May, £22,000 will be released by the developer and the promised older children play area on Westfield Common will be built in late Summer.

Please note that these houses are strictly Affordable Houses, run by a housing association, and are not for sale as rumour has it. A further rumour being spread "that the land used by Meadow Sports on Loop Road is to be sold for housing" is also false.

I am absolutely delighted that the 5 a side pitch I created on Westfield Common is being used by teams as well as local children from Westfield Estate. I have persuaded Serco to level and reseed the old goal area and to mark out the area again. Hopefully they will paint the goalposts properly.
