Clean Up Day in Horsell

The residents of Horsell had a chance to work together for the community when they met on a sunny Saturday morning in mid October to clean up the local area. Representatives from Woking Borough Council, The Police, Horsell Residents Association, pupils from Woking High School and members from a local church cleaned the area around Queen Elizabeth Gardens, The War Memorial and Horsell Moor as well as other roads near the High Street and well over 20 sacks were filled. Scouts and parents helped with refreshments, which were most welcome and some of the local shops gave bottles of water and small chocolate bars. This event followed a very successful Tune-In meeting of Horsell Residents in January where there were opportunities for residents to say what they wanted.Hopefully other events will be arranged in the future.
