What a great game from all three parties, Queen Street, Christ Church and the Ref. Some lovely football from both sides keen competition mistakes and excellent goals. Not one goal was a fluke or howler.
Christ Church went into a 2 -0 lead before Queen Street pulled one back from a corner. Then goal number three was a beautiful bit of football and unselfish play by J Herbert to lay the ball perfectly for Michael Young to double his tally for the season (oh yes the other one was against???). The second half started similar to the first and Christ Church extending the lead to 4 - 1 and nearly 5 -1 but instead of scoring Queen Street broke away to score to bring it back to 4 - 2. It would be fair to say that Christ Church had a number of further opportunities including 1 from Matt Smith being kicked off the line and Matt Lacey pulled of two fantastic saves one in each half.
Jonnie Herbert completed his hat trick and the scoring for the game. The ref kept everybody informed of his decisions was clear even if each team had different views at times but consistency and clarity were excellent well done ref.
