Amplify

The Amplify team see their mission to spread the message of Jesus to the youth of Woking by creating a place where people can worship God, listen to his message from the Bible and pray directly to him. Amplify aims to create a fun environment where young people can explore the Christian faith or simply have an awesome time dancing, chilling, meeting new friends.

We want to create bridges between church and young people, trafitionally church is seen as old fashioned and in turn God is seen as out of date. The Amplify team believe nothing could be further from the truth, each member of the team has had their lives changed by a living God and love the adventure of being a Christian.

Jesus came to this earth in order to set us free from the slavery of our own wrongdoings, our sin, he took the punishment that should have been ours. By dieing on the cross and being brought back to life Jesus beat death, meaning nothing could separate us from God so long as we trust Jesus to be Lord of our lives. Imagine that you have broken the law and you're in court to be sentenced for your crime, the punishment for your crime is death. Just as you are about to receive your sentence Jesus walks into the room and says "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34) and then he takes your punishment and instead of you dieing you are set free and given an eternal life in Heaven. This love that we do not deserve is called grace, it is because of this grace that the Amplify team want to go out and share this amazing news. "We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) we all need Jesus to take our place, it does not matter who you are or what you have done.

The Amplify night is loud music, a prayer room, Graffiti corner, a powerful talk, prayer session, Bible reading, chill & chat area and much more...

We long to see more people accept the free gift of Jesus' grace and join the adventure that is to know and have a personal relationship with the creator of the world.....
