BackgroundAl-Asr was established in 1985 as a scholastic research institution. This charitable organisation is based in London and headed by Maulana S. M. S. Sabzwary and Woking branch is headed by Dr Syed Naqvi. Al-Asr is committed to promoting education in religious, social, moral and cultural values within society. The objectives of Al-Asr are to establish scholastic and research institutions, conduct educational seminars, publish literature, arrange educational tours and support other charitable institutions. We provide a flow of charity to the deprived, disadvantage communities, Support classes for National curriculum, Fitness classes for ladies and gents,youth and study circles, marriage guidance, training skills, exhibitions, awareness of drugs, solving adolescent problems, lecture on current issues and cultural activities. Al-Asr Education and Community Centre, Woking, Surrey, UK Al-Asr Education and Community Centre is an educational establishment in the heart of Woking. The centre independently provides educational , health, advice, support, fitness and religious activities for the local community. The centre consists of a library, two lecture rooms and two Halls, which provide a focal point for the community. Due the volume of demand Al-Asr purchased a second building in 2006 at Goldsworth Road, and has made plans to increase the services offered to a wider community. |
