General update

Litter issues on St Johns Lye during the summer have improved after we introduced daily litter picks and emptying of wooden bins.   The roundabout and swing, missing from the playground since May are currently being repaired and will return in due course.

St Johns Road and St Johns Hill Road continue to experience roadworks and temporary lights as aresult of both the Gas and Water boards carrying out essential maintainence work. We are working closely with the workmen and Biffa Waste Services to ensure minimum disruption to refuse collections where the traffic is controlled.

We continue to see incidents of fly tipping and a build up of litter on some grass verges in the area. Unfortunately the litter seems to be thrown out of vehicle windows.

Should you spot a fly-tip, please contact me on 01483 743806. Serco can also be contacted directly on 01483 775422.

The wet summer has caused bushes, trees and grass to grow at a fast rate this year. Serco will continue their scheduled maintainence programme, however if a site needs earlier attention please contact Serco directly on 01483 775422.
