Byfleet, West Byfleet and Pyrford Neighbourhood
Over 17,000 people live in the villages of Byfleet, West Byfleet and Pyrford. Located in the east of Woking Borough, each has its own identity: both West Byfleet and Byfleet have a good range of shops, schools and pubs and restaurants; Pyrford is more rural in character, with local shops and facilities serving its residents.
Rivers and canals are prominent features in this part of the Borough. The River Wey and Wey Navigations are popular for boating and walking, as is the Basingstoke Canal which joins the Wey between Byfleet and West Byfleet.
